The Liturgy of CCM

An interesting post about the way the music of much of the contemporary Christian scene was originally part of an organic liturgy or perhaps charismatic sacrament. As such, when they were borrowed by more mainline traditions, something important was lost about their function. That is (in Veith’s words):

So worship implies a theology, and theology is embodied in worship.  And you can’t just mix and match.
