Facts, Schmacts…

This is a really interesting study about how people make decisions for reasons other than facts. The application in the article is to public policy debates. If you wonder why you can’t convince your friend of your correct understanding based on the facts- realize the facts aren’t what you thought they were (at least in impact).

I think I have long known this (though we all like to act as though it were not true!). But we might want to think about what this might mean for apologetics, for example.
